Eraser Tool

Erase pixels back to white. Adjust size for precision corrections or quick clearing of large areas.

How to use the Eraser

Select the Eraser tool. The context panel shows a Size slider.

Set eraser size (1-100 px). Small sizes for precise corrections; large for clearing big areas.

Press and drag over the area you want to erase. Pixels are replaced with white.

Release to finish. Use Undo ( Ctrl+Z ) immediately if you erase too much.

Eraser features

Variable size

1 px (surgical precision) to 100 px (bulk clearing).

Round brush

Uses a round shape for smooth, natural-looking erasures.

Undo support

Every erased stroke is recorded in history. Press Ctrl+Z to restore it.

White background: The eraser always reveals the white canvas background. There is no transparency in School Paint. Use Undo immediately if you make a mistake.

Tips

Small size for fine corrections

Use 1-3 px to remove stray pixels or correct edges without disturbing nearby detail.

Large size for quick clearing

Use 50-100 px to clear large areas before repainting.

Undo immediately

Press Ctrl+Z right away after an accidental erasure before drawing more strokes.
